Thu, 15 May 2008 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse Podcast Episode 35. Well back a week from our first trip to
Disneyland Alexandra and I thought this would be a good time to have to
our post trip review. We ended up capturing 47 hours of audio, 6 hour
of video and over 1000 pictures. Some of the pictures are up on the
Northern Mouse Podcast flickr account at www.flickr.com/northernmouse.
So you can expect lots of audio and video in the coming months. We'll
start the show today with some audio of our first experiences in the
parks it's little long go if you've heard the Disneyland Haunted
Mansion and the Pirates of the Caribbean you can skip that part when
you come to it and go to Alexandra and my discussion. The audio in the
rides max out at acouple of points it was my first use of the Zoom H2
on rides as the settings were off but the audio does get better on
future rides and I quickly learn how to use it. As I mention in the
discussion I won't be posting much from the DPN meets I don't think it
would be appropriate so I'll leave that up to them. The only caveat to
that might be the electrical parade I video tapped the parade so I may
be release that as a video. I also want to take this opportunity to
thank everyone at the DPN for all the hard work putting everything
together. Brad, Greg, Mike, Richard, Will and Shanon, Wayne, Jeff,
Chris, Lou, Earl, Mel and also Joel to giving up a day at the parks to
take care of Yee Ha Bob. I hope I didn't miss anyone thanks again for
making the event so successful and our first trip to Disneyland so
memorable. Thanks to everyone who listens to the show and to those who have added me on facebook, myspace and twitter
its been fun and be sure to check out our forums at www.Disneymagic.ca.

This Video was captured at Mousefest 2007 (when it was still Disney MGM Studio's) during evening extra magic hours. The band is a lot of fun and I highly recommend seeing them live if you get the chance. The video quality is set to Ipod quality because of he length of the video I had to reduce the resolution. Wed, 24 October 2007 Welcome to the Northern Mouse podcast Episode 27 and the start of
season two. We have some things lined up for the new season. In
November or December I'll be attending the Niagara Falls Festival of

good. In December there's Mousefest and although we won't be a
participating community this year we will be participating in many of
the events going on. Kevin an I will be trying some new things that
we'll be sure to tell you about. Right now we have plans to go to

gathering, and in July hopefully we'll be able to get tickets to Magic
Meets again this year. And who knows maybe there'll be surprise trip
to the Walt Disney World Resort in there somewhere. The Feature today will be The Seas with Nemo and Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush. Mon, 20 August 2007 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse Podcast Episode 24. With all the new listeners this show has gained over the last few months I wanted to quickly tell you what this show is about. I am a Canadian Disney fan and as such can't always make it to the parks as often as I would like. Now there are many other Disney related podcasts out there and I listen to most of them but none cover Canadian Disney events. This can be anything from ice shows, theater or appearances of Disney personalities. In today’s show I review the Power Rangers 15 Anniversary tour that made a stop in the Toronto area recently. Other show cover Disney news and rumors in much more detail than I ever could so I will concentrate Disney related news and announcements of particular interest to Canadians or news I would like to express an opinion about. We have a few News items for today’s show. I also have other segments that I like to include from time to time such as travel tips, Famous Disney Canadians, recipes and reviews. I usually like to include a ride though or audio from the parks or Disney event that I have captured, earlier show were in stereo but now most attraction and event audio is binaural which when listened to with headphones really give you the sensation of actually being there experiencing the audio just as I did. Today’s feature ride though is the Haunted Mansion in Binaural audio. You'll also find from time to time I put out a videos to go along with the podcast. but for now it on to Episode 24. For more information about the Power Rangers 15th Anniversary and Celebration Tour, please visit www.bandai.com to find out what other cities the tour is going to. Comments[0] |

Fri, 3 August 2007 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse Podcast Episode twenty three. I've often said I wanted to have shorter shows but including audio of ride though and events has precluded that. Well this week we truly do have a shorter show. There is some Disney news to cover, but our feature will be our familys trip to Magic Meets at Camp Hill PA. Since I had some computer troubles this episode was delayed in being released so I posted the Voices of Liberty Videocast I hope you enjoyed it they are quickly becoming one of my favourite acts at Epcot next to Off Kilter. And along with this episode I've posted a companion video of the Lincon Train Museum collection. During our talk about magic meets I'll let you know why. Tue, 10 July 2007 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse Podcast episode twenty-two. As I mentioned last show this week's show is a little different. Actually it's a lot different we are going to visit Canada's Wonderland, but I'll try to fit in a couple of Disney connections. I'm going to try to keep this show a little shorter, the last few have been long. Next week I'll be attending Magic Meets at Camp Hill Pennsylvania so I'll bring you a report from there when I get back. The family and I saw Ratatouille on opening day and I know you'll hear reviews on every other podcasts and website so all I'm going to say is it was awesome right now it's probably my number 2 or 3 favorite Pixar movie. It's definitely worth seeing on the big screen and I plan on seeing it one more time at the theater. Let me know if you like this Wonderland episode I know its different but I think it's ok to see what else is out there once in a while. If you want me to bring more non-Disney attractions from Canada let me know also. I can be reached at info@northernmouse.com or if you are on Skype so ahead and add me my Id is Northernmouse. Any content you would like to contribute like reviews, trip reports or whatever go ahead and email me an mp3 they are welcomed. Thu, 12 April 2007 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse Podcast episode number seventeen. Today we continue for you our trip report with the Animal Kingdom. The last show went a little long so I'll by pass on Canadian Disney News today. I just have a couple of quick items in Northern Mouse Keeping to tell you about. Now our feature was planned to be Kilimanjaro Safaris but when I reviewd the audio I took on the trip it was a very windy day. Wed, 21 March 2007 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse podcast episode number fifteen. We are just recently back from Walt Disney World and had a great time. I had some long days and had only 5 or 6 hours sleep most nights because of that we didn't do nightly trip reports as originally planned but in the coming weeks we will have a full trip report. So I'll just quickly go though day one and my highlights and disappointments on this trip. I will have some audio in the feature segment of the Tower and Terror which was our very first ride on this trip Kevin and Kim's first ever ride at a Disney park and my first on the tower of terror and probably last ride. I have audio from rope drop to the completion of the ride the audio clipped in some places but I wasn't about to get back on to re-record. There will only be a Northern Mouse keeping segment this show as I've been trying to go though the audio and video I've captured and haven't had time to research anything else. Sun, 25 February 2007 ![]() Welcome to the Northern Mouse podcast episode number fourteen. This will be the last show before our trip to Walt Disney World. In this show we have some Northern Mouse keeping. I have some as Canadian Disney news again I'll stay away from the non Canadian news as it's covered quite extensively by other podcasts and websites, we then have a Canadian Disney did you know, and today's Famous Disney Canadian is Catherine O'Hara. I'm even going to throw a quick Disney tip for good measure. Our feature is a discussion between Alexandra, Kim, Kevin and myself. Kevin and Kim will be joining us for their first trip to Walt Disney World so I give them a quick overview of what we expect to do. I highly believe in some sort of plan in order to maximize the experience this is especially true if like us you go to the parks infrequently. I hope to bring you lots of audio and video from this trip is future shows. As well as a short trip report we will record each day. Enjoy the show. P.S. This show even has my first Contest. Welcome to the Northern Mouse Podcast Episode 41 with your Hosts Carlos
and Kevin and we welcome back Robb who will be joining the Northern Mouse crew providing the news and travel specials. After Robb brings us
events and news this week the three of us talk about Mousefest. Then I think I'll
play some audio from the Niagara falls winter festival of lights opening, Disney
related of course. Disney is a big supporter of the festival and had
Aurora prince Philip, Bell and the Beast were on hand and to flip the switch that turn on the lights
were Goofy and Pluto.

Welcome to the Northern Mouse Vidcast. Mulch, Sweat and Shears is a rock band that plays at Disney Hollywood Studios. I hope to have a solution soon to bring you higher quality video's for use on devices such as Apple TV. I hope you enjoy the Video and be sure to join our NEW forums at DisneyMagic.ca.
This video is from the World Showcase Players at Epcot in Walt Disney World. It was taken during the Let's Talk about Disney/ Bare Necessities Drink around the World where Kevin was chosen to participate in the Romeo and Edna skit as the town mime. Enjoy the video. Be sure to email us and let us know what you think at info@northernmouse.com.
Winter Festival of Lights in Niagara Falls, Canada features Mickey and Minnie flipping the switch to turn on the lights and start the fireworks. The enchantment of Disney light display is the focal point of the festival. The video was not very good because I was so far back from the stage, but hopefully you will get a sense of what it was like. Don't forget to let me know what you think of the Podcasts and Vidcast it's important to us to get feedback. E-mail us at info@northernmouse.com.
